WHAM BAM THANK YOU MAM
Deeply inspired by the rise and fall of Vince Taylor (whom Bowie incidentally met in 1971). David/Ziggy will mix this story with science-fiction themes, the atmosphere of the star rock system mixing the whole stuff with his androgynous look. Ziggy will appear as such on stage. Intelligent glam rock? Probably.

This was the first album released by the band after the departure of Kevin Godley and Lol Creme. Many wondered at the time if the remaining half, Gouldman/Stewart, could pull off a decent album or would it be a let down.

This is the first album by Peter Gabriel. It is not extremely progressive. There are omnipresent aggressive rock guitars. “Moribund The Burgermeister” still has some “Lamb lies down on Broadway” influences, especially the miscellaneous original vocal expressions provided by Gabriel himself.

In general I don't like compilations, but this one gives a good idea of Kate's work up to 1986. I would have added just Hammer Horror but all the most impolrtant songs are present.

A friend of mine asked me name, in my opinion, five best albums of all time. In order, at that. Well, “In the court of the crimson king” got the No.1-spot and Culpeper’s Orchard came in as No.2. Alongside the Crimson debut this album ranks among my absolute favorite albums of all time.
